Hello friends, welcome to Priyas Fatafat Adukkala. Today I am going to make tamarind chutney for North Indian chaat recipes.
Ingredients: Half cup of tamarind (125 grams) soaked in 2 cups (500 mL) of water for 1 hour, half teaspoon of garam masala powder, 1 teaspoon of chilli powder, half teaspoon of cumin powder, quarter teaspoon of ginger powder, a pinch of asafetida, salt and pepper powder for flavor.
Method: In a saucepan, strained tamarind water and all the rest of the ingredients and keep the stove in medium flame and boil. Continuously stir and stay so it do not overflow. After 40 minutes when you get the desired consistency off the stove and serve it with any chaat or snack items.

Easy and tasty side dish or chutney for dosa and rotti
kaayi erulli chutney recipe
1 cup fresh or frozen grated coconut
If you take frozen coconut add lukewarm/warm water while grinding the chutney
3 tbsp cut onion or small onion
1 to 2 tbsp coriander leaves
3 to 5 green chilies
little(gooseberry size)tamarind soaked in water
1/2 tsp salt or salt to taste
1/2 tsp jaggery
around 1/4 water
For seasoning:
pinch of hing
1 tsp cooking oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
few curry leaves
